Farm Management With Older Equipment
Do you think you have to have fancy equipment to plant food plots and manage your herd? You certainly do not!
My 64 hp 1968 3020 John Deere tractor helps me harvest deer every year. I have an old ugly 8 ft orange disk, 6 ft tiller,7 ft. mower, hog panel homemade drag and a sprayer. These basic implements will allow you to plant just about anything thing from corn to clover. All bought used for around $8850 dollars. A fraction of the cost of a new 64 horse tractor! The deer don't care how old and worn out the tractor and equipment is that put in the food, they just love having lush plots to eat. Believe me when I tell you that old equipment can make some beautiful plots that the deer will hammer. Give a vintage tractor a try it is a lot of fun and easier on the bank account.
The results on the wall aren't too bad either!
